LBC is a diverse body of people. We are at differing stages in life, we are from differing cultures and backgrounds, our theological perspective is diverse, we are at different stages in our faith journeys and our preferred style to worship God also differs. However, We see this as a strength as we try to dialogue and respect each others position and learn from others who are different from ourselves.
Our Worship reflects our diversity. We engage in different styles of worship through Sunday services and week day groups. Our Sunday (11 O’clock) service is a blend of contemporary and traditional styles. Once a month we have a ”risky sunday” where we experiment a bit. Former Risky Sundays have included food, contemplative reflection, family activity (messy church) and Christmas day in April! We believe that relationship is as important as worship within our Sunday gatherings. Sunday worship is usually about 20 people (including children), however about 200 people each week use the building as a community hub resource.
